Dade
January
I saw her as soon as I stepped off the bus from the airport. How could I miss her? The sun was reflecting off the blonde hair piled messily on top of her head. She was laughing at something the pool boy was saying as he handed her some pink, frilly drink with a blue umbrella. The umbrella matched her bikini which perfectly showcased her curves.
Her laugh was musical. I couldn’t see her eyes because they were hidden behind mirrored aviators, but something told me they would be light. I bet they’re blue.
The tap on my arm alerts me to the fact that the pretty driver is speaking to me, and apparently has been for a bit. Shifting my attention from the alluring blonde near the pool, I smile sheepishly at her and shrug. “I’m sorry; I spaced out. I apologize. I have no idea what you were just saying.” Her eyes swing toward the pool before returning to my own. “I understand your distraction. The scenery over there is quite beautiful,” she says with a smile.
Unintentionally, my gaze returns to the pool. The aviators are pointed in my direction. Pulling my own shades down, I wink. Her mouth pops open. Smiling, I turn and head into the hotel to get checked in.
After getting settled into the room, I decide to investigate the pool. Maybe the blonde is still there. Spending a few days with her in this tropical paradise wouldn’t be a hardship. I check myself out in the mirror and I see a tall, fit body. My shoulders are defined. My arms are toned and tight and show off my many tattoos. My chest is also chiseled and tattooed and my torso is long and sculpted. I work my ass off for this body and I’m proud of it. The appreciation from the opposite sex doesn’t hurt either.
Lord, I need this break. Things have been insane at home. We just finished a tour with the band. Jude got married. Jessie got engaged. Who the hell would have thought that would ever happen?! My sister is home from California and all I want to do is protect her from the evils of the world, but she and Liam both live in my house now and it’s like a damn warzone. Those two are constantly at each other’s throats. My sweet little sister is just what my philandering band mate needs, and both want the other fiercely, yet both are too outraged at the others mere existence to figure it out. Something needs to happen with them, and soon, or everyone is going to be miserable. Thankfully, I left them alone together while I’m away to figure it out, whichever way it goes, while I catch some sun and decompress.

Laughing at him, I reply, “Now Dom, you know I can’t. I’m far too old for you. That is an extremely flattering offer though.”
“You are not too old for me, Ms. Mel. You are beautiful and it could be just as friends. Though, if you want to change your mind at any time, I would not complain for one minute.”
I can’t help it, I laugh. He’s so adorable and delightful. He laughs with me, showing me his nice white teeth.
As we converse a bit more, I feel someone’s eyes on me. I’m not alarmed, though my skin feels electrified. Looking around the pool, I don’t see anyone looking in my direction. Then… I see him. He’s standing near the entrance to the hotel and looks as if he’s just arrived.
Dear God. That is the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen in my life! My eyes travel his body, from his head to his feet. I blink. Have I been in the sun too long?!
Jesus, Mel. Get a grip. But, dear God, is he real?! He’s so tall. And look at those arms. That is a lot of tattoos. He’s sexy as sin. Is his face chiseled from stone? That cannot be his face. Who looks like that?!
OMG… is he looking at me?! He just caught me staring at him. Wait, no he didn’t. I have on glasses. He doesn’t know where I’m looking…
The mirage near the hotel pulls his sunglasses down and looks right at me.Shit! Busted staring! My breath catches. He’s so not my type. I’ve always been attracted to the professional, put together type. His long, dark hair, tattoos, and bad boy vibe are so not what I’m normally into. I can’t look away. He’s screaming sex and my body is responding. He winks at me and smiles. My stomach drops and I tingle as I gasp. Did that just happen?! Pushing his glasses back up his nose, he smiles again, the sun gleaming off of his teeth, before he turns and follows the driver into the hotel.
I can’t breathe. Pressing a hand to my stomach, I slump back on the chaise and take a deep breath. Dear, God. Who is that man?
Elaine's Review:
I loved this book. It was sweet, sexy, naughty, real, and downright delicious. I loved Bayou Stix and the books just keep getting better and better . Dade and Melonie meet on vacation and one thing leads to another. They have fun in the sun for 8 days and Dade disappears without a word. Then they meet again at a party that the group is hosting. All I can really say is thing get hot and heavy between them.

A few things happen, and some misunderstandings occur. Melonie is a hard nut to crack and has been hurt before so being hurt again is something she is not willing to let happen. BUT if both of these characters would just let love in a little bit it is going to explode. BOY DOES IT~ these two set the pages on fire even when they aren't having sex. They are a match made perfectly. They complete the other and add nothing but positive things to each others lives.
